Explore the path to Zero Waste
Welcome to the Step-by-step guide section of the Greenstage Toolbox. This site is a comprehensive resource designed to empower organisations with the knowledge and tools needed to create real, lasting change. This step-by-step guide breaks down the zero-waste journey into manageable phases, from the initial planning stages to practical and long-term implementation. This is a result of several science projects that examined how to reduce waste in different ways and settings. The following information is a part of our experience and an example of how to analyse the current waste situation in different circumstances and develop a fruitful and mutually beneficial concept for reducing waste.
First things first - an all-encompassing agreement
A successful zero-waste initiative requires a shared vision and commitment from the whole organization. To formally kickstart your journey, a so-called "Zero Waste Concept Agreement" can be a good start to set clear goals and the path to follow along on the journey. We created a template that can be adapted and used for securing internal buy-in from management and staff alike. It can be used to establish a powerful foundation and ensure everyone is on the same page as you work toward a more sustainable future.
