About Policy hubs
Policy Hubs are collaborative working groups that bring together local stakeholders and policy-makers to co-design concrete strategies for environmental sustainability in the performing arts sector.
The Greenstage partners are building their Local Policy Hubs -LPH involving theatres, public institutions, policy-makers and cultural organizations. The LPH results are then brought to the transnational level, where they contribute to the development of shared policies and long-term strategies. This process will lead to the creation of a political catalogue of demands – The Greenstage Manifesto – a common vision for the green transition of the performing arts sector.
By connecting local and transnational needs and objectives with European policy frameworks, the Policy Hubs help bridge the gap between cultural and sustainable innovation and political commitment, making sustainability in the arts both achievable and widely supported.
Greenstage manifesto
The Greenstage Manifesto is a European political declaration that we are currently developing based on the recommendations emerging from the Local and Transnational Policy Hubs.
In 2027, the Manifesto is going to become the shared framework to guide sustainable transition in the performing arts across Europe, bringing together:
- Sustainable priorities: urgent topics emerged during the Local and Transnational Policy Hubs, divided into key areas of action.
- Practical solutions: greening the theatres with concrete tips and sustainable measures.
- Policy recommendations: demands and ideas for policy-makers and decision-makers.
The Manifesto is going to be presented to institutional stakeholders and decision-makers at the European level.
