Connecting people through sustainability
From the 17th to the 20th of June, Greenstage partners gathered in Vienna, Austria, for an extensive workshop. During the second live meeting, the partners had a chance to test previously developed sustainability tools, deep dive into ecological guidelines, practice peer-to-peer learning, and work on circularity concepts. This much-needed meeting sparked creativity and gave the partners an opportunity to collaborate in a more effective and efficient way, providing tangible and qualitative results.
During the workshop in Volkstheater Vienna partners had the opportunity to test the SAPA tool. They used their own organisations as a training ground and completed all three parts of the tool – the questionnaire, the strengths and weaknesses analysis, and the action plan. The questionnaire analysed multiple aspects of the organisation, providing an in-depth insight into the organisation's economical, ecological, social, and cultural condition. The result of the questionnaire was the SAPA radar, which offered its users to study their organisations strengths and weaknesses and, by communicating and collaborating with their colleagues, to make action plans that will bring tangible results if implemented. Each partner finished the workshop with a well-planned sustainability plan for their organisation.
A significant part of the meeting was dedicated to policy making and meeting the associated partners. The corresponding municipalities have a pivotal role in the project that will establish a supportive transnational network for spreading Greenstage’s results and message. The meeting laid a strong foundation stone for the political guidelines and documentation that will be developed in the next few years. The Greenstage associated partners are Municipality of Oberhausen, Municipality of Dortmund, Municipality of Gelsenkirchen, Municipality of Vienna, Municipality of Ljubljana, Municipality of Mantua and Municipality of Riga.
The accomplished work in Vienna will continue all throughout the year until the next meeting in Latvia in 2025. The first publicly available result will be the Greenstage digital platform www.greenstage.eu, which is already online and will be fully developed throughout 2024 and finished early 2025.
